Love's reply The evening I raised my hand Even to strike you, Jessica jumping And the coat-hangers slaughtered As we raged, In the wind down
You spoke of the time I struck Karin: My only explanation was What was I to do? She attacked me With claws and fury And I used minimum force to subdue; To humiliate, you said. So what was I to do? You could have hugged her Love would have replied. But you didn't. That's why her love died.
