My God: the poem, two new verses
Nov 10th, 2009 by Norman
my God
my God walked on water
and came from a virgin birth
your god’s got an elephant’s head
and that I think’s absurd
my God was said to raise the dead
and turn water into wine
your god wears a snake ’round his neck
and that crosses the line
my God healed the lepers
and made a blind man see
your god’s blue
eats her children
wears skulls ’round her neck
sticks out her black tongue
and that’s too much for me
