An Opening: a poem

An Opening
Holly soared
what more?took the smear of life
and made clouds sing
and the ice walls
of vanity
she stacked them
at the laundromat
and did the permutations
she did Excalibur
excelsior
and gladiamus
she took Emily Carr
and put a glow behind he mundane
and she did all this in a quiet way
that it’s alright
to dream
