if we really were God
and we had forever to think it through
in our infinite mind
then we would
and wouldn’t
predestine creation
we’d surely throw the pieces
on the canvas like Pollock
let them fall as they may
so that quantum would shuffle
and Darwin would random fit
it all together
and the critters would of course
be selfish and relatively stupid
short sighted
and we’d be blighted
and blessed
with things just as they are
