I may have slandered Druide
they write
“Benzylbenzoate is listed in the end of the INCI list because it’s not an ingredients but an allergen coming from an organic essential oil. We don’t accept benzylbenzoate but some essential oils can naturally contain this compound and regulation in Europe oblige the manufacturer to label the allergens.”

Yersterday I wrote about discovering the benzoate in my ECOCERT “organic” druide shampoo. I mentioned it to a Mexican friend who told me of, and gave me a bar! of a herbal jojoba soap for hair: Verde Natural jabon para el cabello. There’s the link to their website.
